Gibraltar Airport is owned by the Ministry of Defence for the use of Royal Air Force (RAF) that serves the British Overseas Territory Of Gibraltar In Iberian Peninsula. Civilian operators use the Airport with currently offering services between United Kingdom and Spain.

The Airport was constructed during world war II upon the colony's race course when Gibraltar was one of the important naval base for British.
